We are excited to share about a few updates to the Gorge Food Trails which highlight the remarkable culinary and agricultural assets in the region. Both the East Gorge Food Trail and West Gorge Food Trail direct locals and visitors to the restaurants, farms, breweries, wineries, cideries and markets that source at least 25% local ingredients. Not only does this help support our growing local food system but also gives diners what they are looking for:
- 95% of travelers around the world can now be classed as food travelers
- 80% of travelers will research food and drink before they go
- 90% want to experience destination “like a local”
After several years of supporting the trails via grants, we are now asking partners to contribute to help promote and strengthen the program. There are three options:
LEVEL ONE: FREE
The listing on www.gorgefoodtrails.com is free for all qualifying businesses/farms in the Gorge and includes:
- Promotion of trail via printed rack cards distributed through the region and at key visitor locations
- Social media promotions of the trails through the season
- Collaboration with other businesses on the trail
- Articles and posts by publications and influencers from PR and Fam Tour outreach
LEVEL TWO: $50/YEAR
For those who are able, we are asking for a yearly $50 fee to help cover the management and costs of ongoing outreach of the not-for-profit trail. This contribution additionally includes:
- Special video of your business (includes site visit, shooting, editing and posting to social media channels)
- Regular re-sharing of your business’ social media posts

TASTE OF THE GORGE PROMOTION: $25 GIFT CARD
This year we will be launching a special promotion from mid-Sept thru mid-Nov to highlight local Gorge food in the shoulder seasons. Participating businesses will be listed on a map that is distributed widely through the Gorge and metro areas. Diners who participate will earn the chance to win gift cards (to places they have not yet visited). The Taste of the Gorge will include a separate media campaign and promotion. To participate, businesses simply donate a $25 Gift Card which will be used as the prize for the winning diners.
